The KNIPPING VERBINDUNGSTECHNIK Group is a specialist in the development, production, surface-finishing and distribution of fasteners and small pressings. The facilities of the group in Western Europe have an annual turnover of 114 million Euros and employ 663 staff. The largest part of the turnover is made with the automotive industry; this requires high standards of product design, quality and logistic support. Distribution activities are centred on the electrical, construction and engineering industries and on both deep and open-cast mining. These are supported by a customer-oriented product range, by applications engineering and by cost-optimised logistic solutions tailored to the needs of the product.

The group operates with modern, group-wide IT systems, ensuring a high degree of flexibility and precision in communication with our customers. Both just-in-time and system deliveries are catered for by our logistics systems. Customer requirements for project-related kits of products are supported by our IT systems.

The production facilities of the group distinguished by ultra-modern equipment and processes. Application-oriented product- and process-development forms the basis for an outstanding market position in Europe. This is especially the case for the development and production of specially-designed parts for the automotive industry in sizes up to M10. The production of pressings and stampings forms a meaningful addition and enables the development, production and assembly of fastening technology in the form of special system products.

Surface-finishing is a further important Group activity. It has an ultra-modern, highly efficient, effluent- and hex-chrome-free plating facility as well as computer-controlled equipment for the inorganic and organic coating of fastener products. The application of thread-locking adhesives and other coatings completes the spectrum of surface-finishing activities.
